At Futurist Cinema, we’re passionate about giving our customers the best cinema experience. In order to ensure everyone enjoys their time with us, we ask that everyone follows a few simple rules.

Please read our Terms & Conditions below. These are subject to change and can be updated on a regular basis:

FILM CLASSIFICATIONS

Film age certificates are provided by the British Board of Film Classification and by law must be followed by all cinemas.

• U Suitable for All – Content is suitable for audiences of all ages, although not all U-rated content is aimed at children. Children’s content should be set within a positive framework and should offer reassuring counterbalances to any violence, threat or scary scenes. Generally a U is unlikely to unsettle a four-year-old, although it is impossible to predict what might affect any particular child.
• PG (Parental Guidance) – PG-rated content is suitable for general viewing. A PG should generally not unsettle a child aged around eight, although parents and caregivers should be aware that some scenes may be unsuitable for more sensitive children.
• 12A – Anyone under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18.
• 15 – Suitable for individuals 15 and over only.
• 18 – Suitable for individuals 18 and over only.  

CONCESSIONS

At Futurist Cinema we offer multiple types of discounted tickets with the following terms:

• Students: must supply a valid in-date student card with photo.
• Child: Children are 12 months - 14 years, Adults are 15+ and Students need a valid photo ID.
• Seniors: Seniors tickets are available to those who hold a valid senior card, senior bus pass or state pension letter.
• Babies in arms (under 12 months) go free, children over 12 months will need a child ticket. We accept babies in arms into U, PG and 12A films.
• Carers: The CEA card scheme allows a Cardholder to be accompanied by someone, free of charge, when they purchase a ticket to visit a participating cinema with that person. Holders muyst supply a valid in-date CEA Card with photo.
• Blue Light Cards: Members of Blue Light Card can benefit from savings on tickets art Futurist Cinema. Cards must be presented when collecting or purchasing tickets on the door.

BEHAVIOUR

At Futurist Cinema, we aim to create a great experience for all our customers adn request that everyone is respectful to others visitors.

We ask that you keep speaking to a minimum and stay seated in your seat unless you are leaving a screen to go to the toilets or visist the kiosk. If you have an issue or problem with another guest please speak to a member of our team.

Please supervise your children at all times and ensure there is no running within the screens, on the stairs or in the upper or lower foyers for everyone’s safety.

CCTV is in operation throughout the building.

REMOVAL

Futurist Cinema reserves the right to request the removal of any individual without entitlement to a refund that are; disruptive, antisocial /violent, intoxicated, smoking (including e-cigarette or vapes) in breach of policies or unable to provide a valid ticket for entry.

The appropriate actions will be taken against anyone who jeopardises the safety of, or is abusive, insulting or threatening to anyone on site. This includes but is not limited to, banning individuals from the premises and/or contacting the police.

MOBILE PHONES

All mobile devices must be switched off during a performance. You may be asked to leave if you fail to do so.  

FOOD & DRINKS POLICY

For the comfort and safety of all customers, outside food, snacks or drinks are not permitted in our screening rooms to prevent:

• Allergy risks
• Outside alcohol (licensing law)

You could be asked to leave if we find you in breach of our policy.

LARGE BAGS  

These are not permitted in our screening rooms to prevent trip hazards. You are welcome to leave them on our stage area in the downstairs bar area. Please note, we accept no responsibility for any loss or theft of personal belongings.

PIRACY

It is a serious criminal offence to attempt to copy/record a film or soundtrack. Therefore any form of recording equipment is not permitted within our screens. If these are found on your possession they may be confiscated by the one of the Futurist Team for inspection.

REFUNDS

• No refund or exchange shall be given within a 24 hour period prior to film showing.
• No refund or exchange shall be given if you decide to leave the cinema part way through a film showing.
• No refunds or exchange shall be given if you are asked to leave through anti-social behaviour or bringing prohibited items into the cinema.
• Online booking fees are non-refundable.
• No refunds or exchange shall be given on tickets as part of a food or drink package deal.

PERFORMANCE CHANGES

Futurist Cinema aims to follow our weekly advertised schedule, however on rare occasions we reserve the right to re-schedule or cancel showings for reasons beyond our control. In this case all tickets will be transferred or refunded.
