Futurist Creatives Circle
Connect. Collaborate. Celebrate.
Futurist Cinema, in partnership with Kidderminster BID and the Town on Tour project, is proud to announce the launch of Futurist Creatives Circle — a new not-for-profit social enterprise designed to nurture and support the region’s vibrant creative community. Membership is free and everyone is welcome.
The first meeting will be held on Tuesday 6th May from 7pm (doors and bar open from 6:30pm), with subsequent gatherings taking place on the second Tuesday of every month at Futurist Cinema, Green Street, Kidderminster.
Futurist’s Creative Circle offers an inclusive platform where artists, filmmakers, musicians, writers and performers can come together to share ideas, collaborate on projects, and celebrate each other’s achievements. Managed by a members' board, the Circle will be shaped by its members as it grows, ensuring it evolves in response to the needs, ideas, and ambitions of the local creative community.
A Welcoming Shared Space & Central Support Hub
The Circle will offer a vibrant environment where creatives can connect, network, and grow. Facilities include mentorship programmes, workshops, and industry networking events — all guided by member input and involvement.
Connect. Collaborate. Celebrate.
The team believes creativity thrives on community. Regular meetups, panel discussions, and showcases will provide opportunities for members to collaborate, gain valuable insights from peers and industry professionals, and shape the future direction of the Circle. Events will celebrate local talent through exhibitions, performances and film screenings.
A Focus on Film & Documentary-Making
With particular support for independent filmmakers and documentary makers, the Circle will provide opportunities for script development, production mentorship, technical training and creative collaboration.
Showcasing Local Talent
In partnership with local venues, festivals, and online platforms, the Circle will give members opportunities to present their work to wider audiences, helping to build careers and strengthen Kidderminster’s creative identity.
Future Plans - Supporting Creative Careers
As the Circle grows, it hopes to develop services to support creative careers, offering guidance on legal matters, business advice, and funding applications — giving members the tools they need to succeed.
